Carroll County's Legacy
Carroll County's Legacy documents the rich heritage, facts and folklore of Maryland's Carroll County. This one hour television program invites viewers to explore the county's history through its people, communities, agriculture, business and industry, religion, transportation and education.
Freelance producer/writer Marilyn Maguire has crafted a program that will enhance the knowledge of those already familiar with the county's history, and educate and enlighten those who are not. Through historical records and interviews with local historians, she explores Carroll's history from the first Methodist place of worship in 1764, to the invention of the first reaping machine in 1811, to the first National Rural Free Delivery in 1899.
Copies of the Carroll County's Legacy DVD are available for $30. Please call the CMC at 410.386.4415.
